Heavenly Creation
Every Pooja in India begins with the sacred ritual of bathing the idol with Panchamrut – five heavenly nectars – comprising of milk, honey, cow’s ghee, jaggery and curd. These nectars symbolize the five lessons that Hinduism teaches us and act as a guide for the evolution of our soul. Milk signifies purity, and beckons that our life be pure and clean of any evil, curd denotes prosperity while jaggery is to encourage sweetness in our speech. Cow’s ghee is a symbol of nourishment and strength while honey is a symbol of hard work and strength which lies in unity, as demonstrated by the honeybees.
The mixture of these five ingredients is further enriched Rishikesh Gangajal. A bath with AnuVed’s Panchamrut not just cleanses one’s body, but strengthens his beliefs in the five lessons that are said to emancipate our soul. There must be something in it that the idols we worship are bathed in this mixture...
